Worker installing solar street light electrocuted

TIAONG, Quezon, Philippines — A construction worker died and three others were injured when they were electrocuted while installing a solar street light in Barangay Talisay in this town on Thursday.

The fatality was identified as Christian Caalaman, a resident of Barangay Ibabang Talim in Lucena City.

Arnel dela Cruz, Ronel de la Cruz and Jomel Benuza were taken to the Peter Paul Medical Center for treatment.

The accident reportedly occurred when the steel pillar of the streetlight hit a high-tension wire.
