OFWs in Saudi warned vs fake POLO employees

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Overseas Labor Office has cautioned overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) against dealing with individuals posing as POLO employees.

POLO’s unit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia discouraged OFWs from transacting official business outside its office or beyond office hours.

“If someone claims to be from POLO and is even showing an ID but wants to meet outside our offices, do not believe them,” POLO posted on social media.

OFWs in Saudi were also warned against those who drop the names of POLO officials.

“This only means that they are not legitimate,” POLO-Riyadh said.

Those who cannot go to the POLO office may opt to send a representative.
