2 drown in Zambales beach

MASINLOC, Zambales, Philippines — Two men drowned after saving two persons on a beach in this town on Wednesday.

Authorities said Pablo Roque Jr., 47, and Lorenzo Alvarez, 29, went missing after saving a nine-year-old girl and a 30-year-old man, who were swept away by big waves while walking along the shore in Barangay Bani.

Roque and Alvarez reportedly drowned after they suffered muscle cramps.
