CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — An 11-year-old girl died when she was hit by a sport utility vehicle while crossing the street in General Nakar, Quezon on Monday.

Princess Avellaneda suffered head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the Claro M. Recto Hospital.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Montero, Myla Astrera, 50, a resident of Barangay Pamplona, is facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
