Fugitive nabbed for rape of girl, 6

MANILA, Philippines — A man wanted for raping a six-year-old girl was arrested in Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City on Friday.

Personnel of the city police’s warrant and subpoena section served the suspect, identified only as “Tatay Gamay,” 47, a warrant of arrest issued on March 4 by Valenzuela Regional Trial Court Branch 270 Judge Evangeline Mendoza-Francisco.

Police identified him as the city’s ninth most wanted fugitive, charged with statutory rape. The judge set bail at P200,000.
