MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics agents confiscated an estimated 550 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with a street value of P3.57 million in a sting in Quezon City on Monday.

Muslimin Mantil, 28, was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Bagbag at around 10:15 p.m.

The suspect allegedly negotiated a deal with an agent posing as a drug buyer for a pack of shabu, PDEA said in a report.

Mantil, who also yielded a cell phone he reportedly used during the transaction, is being held on charges of drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, three suspected drug dealers were arrested during a raid on an alleged drug den in Barangay Tandang Sora on Monday.

PDEA agents seized 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia from Ejay Roque, 28; Gabriel Senilla, 37, and John Mark Bumagat, 37.

The two were reportedly caught with two .38-caliber revolvers they sold to a policeman posing as a buyer and around 60 grams of shabu with a street value of P408,000.

Silvio said the suspects are members of a criminal gang involved in gunrunning, robbery and other crimes in southern Metro Manila.

Joseph Lumabas, 39, and Jay-R Maquinad, 36, were apprehended in Barangay 220, Manila at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday for allegedly selling a .38-caliber revolver and a .45-caliber pistol to an undercover police officer for P30,000.

Another operation led to the arrest of Marlon delos Santos, 32, and Renato Intano, 39, in Intramuros at around 2:30 a.m. yesterday for selling an improvised shotgun for P4,500.
