Cop held for robbing gasoline station

MANILA, Philippines — A rookie policeman was arrested for allegedly robbing a gasoline station in Batangas on Wednesday.

Pat. Glenn Angoluan of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Laguna police robbed a gasoline station in Barangay Santiago in Sto. Tomas City, Laguna police director Col. Rogarth Campo said.

Angoluan was apprehended in Barangay San Isidro at around 2:30 a.m.

Police said a 9mm pistol, a knife, an undetermined amount of cash, ATM and identification cards and a cell phone were recovered from the suspect.

“He admitted that he was responsible for the series of robbery-holdups of convenience stores in Laguna, particularly in Pagsanjan, Los Baños, Alaminos, and in Sto. Tomas, Batangas,” Campo told The STAR.
