Paid Valentine’s Day leave for single Quezon LGU employees

MANILA, Philippines — Single employees of the municipal government of General Luna in Quezon province will be granted a paid leave on Valentine’s Day.

Mayor Matt Erwin Florido issued an executive order giving single local government employees a break on Feb. 14 to ”give them an opportunity to reflect and find their true love.”

Florido said those who will opt to work on Valentine’s Day will receive double pay.

He urged those who are qualified for the incentive to register at the human resource office.

”Ang mayor’s office ay may karapatang magsiyasat kung totoo ngang wala kang dyowa. Muli, bawal ang sinungaling,” Florido said.

There were 43 single employees of the municipal government last year.
