MANILA, Philippines — The supply of COVID-19 vaccines and medicines in Manila is enough for the rising number of COVID-19 cases, Mayor Isko Moreno announced yesterday.

The Sta. Ana Hospital’s vaccine storage facility held 179,000 doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, 55,000 from Moderna, 38,000 from AstraZeneca, 6,500 from Janssen and 3,700 from Sinovac as of yesterday.

“I want to reassure the people of Manila that there are enough vaccines,” he told reporters after inspecting the hospital’s vaccine storage facility.

Moreno made the announcement as the city government started its vaccine rollout for people working in Divisoria and delivery riders passing through Manila.

He also said that the city’s supplies of remdesivir, tocilizumab, baricitinib and molnupiravir are available to COVID-19 patients who were given a prescription for these medications.

The patients would have to coordinate with the Manila health department, which would provide the medicines, he said.
