Eastern Visayas hits 50.3% vaccination rate

TACLOBAN CITY – At least 50.3 percent of the eligible population in Eastern Visayas have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Department of Health regional office said 32.4 percent of those who received their COVID shots have been fully vaccinated.

As of Tuesday, Biliran has the highest vaccination rate at 81.9 percent followed by Ormoc City, 74.3 percent; Tacloban, 69.4 percent; Southern Leyte, 59.2 percent; Eastern Samar, 55 percent; Leyte, 49.8 percent; Western Samar, 37.6 percent, and Northern Samar, 33.4 percent.
