BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two men died when their motorcycles collided with a car in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur on Sunday.

Mark Mendell Verzola, 36, died while being rushed to a hospital where Eduardo Pajimola, 32, also died while being treated of body injuries.

Verzola and Pajimola, who were on separate motorcycles, were reportedly racing when they crashed into a car driven by Arvin Tenorio, 42, in Barangay Nanguneg East.

The impact threw Verzola and Pajimola off their motorcycles and caused injuries to Tenorio.

Tenorio’s wife and child, who were with him in the car, were not hurt in the incident.

After receiving treatment, Tenorio was brought to the police station for questioning.

Meanwhile, in Pampanga, 20 people were injured when a jeepney figured in an accident in Floridablanca on Sunday afternoon.

The jeepney was traveling in Barangay Nabuclod when it reportedly developed engine trouble, causing its driver Roman Mamucod, 53, to lose control of the wheel.
