Firearms, ammunition seized from Abra town exec, kin

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Assorted firearms and ammunition were reportedly seized by authorities during simultaneous raids on the property of a municipal councilor in Abra and his relatives yesterday morning.

The ammunition and firearms, which included several rifles and handguns, were reportedly found in the houses of Councilor George Sotelo of Pilar town, and his cousins Ferdinand dela Rosa and Paterno Sotelo in Barangay Narnara.

The raid was based on a warrant issued by Baguio City Regional Trial Court Branch 5 Judge Maria Ligaya Itliong-Rivera.
