BOCAUE, Bulacan, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a North Luzon Expressway interchange and bypass road at the Ciudad de Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Secretary Mark Villar led the inauguration of the P900-million infrastructure project that is expected to reduce traffic congestion along McArthur Highway and Governor F. Halili Road in the town.

DPWH Central Luzon director Roseller Tolentino said the road project started in 2018.  Its initial phase was inaugurated in November 2019 before the opening of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games at the Philippine Arena.

Tolentino said the 1.37-kilometer six-lane bypass road from the McArthur Highway to the Bocaue municipal hall include the construction of a 22.80-meter bridge connecting Manila North Road to Ciudad de Victoria and a 1.2-kilometer four-lane road connecting the Philippine Arena to the Bocaue-Sta. Maria bypass road.
