Caloocan distributes P943 million ECQ aid

MANILA, Philippines — The Caloocan government has distributed P943.8 million in financial assistance to residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
As of Tuesday, the local government had disbursed 70 percent of the P1.34 billion allotted funding.
City hall said 267,704 beneficiary families have received their lockdown aid.
Mayor Oscar Malapitan vowed to finish the distribution of cash assistance soon.
Caloocan targets to help 410,053 families during the ECQ, Malapitan said.
In Malabon, the local government has distributed P138.5 million in lockdown aid to the residents.
Mayor Antolin Oreta III said they were able to distribute close to half of the allotted funding of P307 million intended for 108,000 households.
Oreta reminded his constituents to comply with health protocols when they get their financial assistance at payout sites.
