Tower crane falls in Pasay
A tower crane falls from the 23rd floor of a building in Pasay yesterday.

MANILA, Philippines — A portion of a tower crane fell from the 23rd floor of a condominium building being constructed in Pasay City and crashed down on the roof of the Lions Club office yesterday.

City engineer Edwin Javaluyas said they would summon the project contractor on orders of Mayor Emi Rubiano.

City hall personnel inspected the construction site accompanied by police.

Authorities said no one was reported hurt in the incident, which happened at past 1 a.m.

The Lion’s Club office was damaged.
