Mancao gets DICT post

MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte has appointed former police officer Cezar Mancao II to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Malacañang announced yesterday.

Mancao was named executive director V of the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center of the DICT, presidential spokesman Harry Roque said.

“We are confident that his professional credentials would contribute in cybercrime prevention. We wish him good luck in his new assignment,” Roque said.

Mancao was linked to the murders of former public relations man Bubby Dacer and his driver in 2000.
