MANILA, Philippines — The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCI) yesterday donated 20 patrol cars to the Manila Police District to intensify the MPD’s campaign against crimes.

The police vehicles were turned over by the FFCCCI to Mayor Isko Moreno after the flag-raising rites.

Also present during the event were Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas and MPD director Brig. Gen. Rolando Miranda.

Moreno said the additional patrol cars would improve police visibility and response time against criminals.

He said the 11 police stations in Manila would receive one patrol car each.

“The rest will be deployed in police precincts in the city,” Moreno said.

The FFCCCI promised to donate six tactical vehicles for the Special Weapons and Tactics division of the MPD.

The group was represented by its president Henry Lim Bon Liong, vice presidents Cecile de Pedro and Victor Lim, honorary president Robin Sy and secretary general Fernando Gan.
