Man arrested for killing parents

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A man was arrested in Barangay Taywanak Ilaya, Alfonso, Cavite on Thursday after he reportedly confessed to his neighbors that he killed his parents.

Florito Credo, 35, yielded a 12-inch kitchen knife, responding police officers said.

The bodies of Credo’s father Rafaelito, 66, and mother Flora, which bore multiple stab wounds,  were recovered in their house in Sitio Santonis at around 2 p.m.

Probers said the suspect is said to be suffering from mental illness.
