11 NCRPO officials to be promoted

Ralph Edwin Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Eleven officials of the National Capital Region Police Office are set to be promoted tomorrow, according to NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas.

In a statement yesterday, Sinas said he designated relieved Cebu City police chief Col. Hector Grijaldo Jr. as the secretary of the chief regional staff.

Grijaldo was relieved last month after a video of him hitting a policeman on the head went viral on social media.

He would replace Col. Rodel Pastor, who was named the acting chief of the NCRPO’s Regional Personnel and Records Management Division.

Pastor and Sinas are among the 19 police officers facing criminal charges for failing to follow quarantine protocols during the NCRPO chief’s birthday fete on May 8.

Col. Bernard Yang, the sacked Pasay police chief who was named as the regional operations head of the NCRPO in February, will be the new officer-in-charge of the Makati City police.

Yang and nine other policemen were relieved from their posts earlier in the year for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling.

Yang would be exchanging places with current Makati police chief Col. Rogelio Simon.

Col. Raul Tacaca, who was relieved in July last year as Negros Oriental provincial director, was named the Quezon City Police District (QCPD)’s chief of directorial staff.

QCPD deputy director for administration Col. Arthur Bisnar was named the acting director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Retirement and Benefits Administration Service. He would be replaced by Col. Juan Anonuevo.

Col. Ferdinand Navarro was named as QCPD deputy district director for operations.

Col. Randy Silvio was designated as the officer-in-charge of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

Col. Ma. Leonora Camarao, the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division chief, was designated as the director of the PNP’s Recruitment and Selection Service.

Col. Enrico Vargas was named as the Southern Police District deputy director for operations.

“The reassignment aims to give recognition and appreciation for the exemplary service rendered by the above mentioned officers during their tenure in their previous offices,” Sinas said
