2 Chinese, Pinoy nabbed for rob try

MANILA, Philippines — Two Chinese men and their Filipino companion were apprehended after they allegedly tried to rob a Chinese couple in Muntinlupa over the weekend.
Wang Huiyang, 27; Xie Jiannan, 30, and security guard Luwie Manuevo, 34, were taken into police custody.
Prior to this, probers said the suspects managed to convince businessman Zhu Haijun, 41, and his wife to convert P6 million into yuan, which would be deposited in the couple’s bank account. The exchange did not materialize.
Police said they recovered from the suspects a .45-caliber handgun, four cell phones and the cash.
Meanwhile, in Pasig, an estimated P27,200 worth of shabu was confiscated from an alleged drug dealer.
Raymond Antonio, 40, was included in the city’s drug watchlist, probers said.
A police report said Antonio was nabbed after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu for P200 to a policeman who posed as a buyer.
In Marikina, a 29-year-old man who violated quarantine guidelines was arrested for alleged possession of P6,800 worth of drugs.
Rommel Yangga was on a bike when he was pulled over by police for not wearing a face mask.
When policemen frisked Yangga, the suspect allegedly yielded shabu.
