Motorcycle falls into drainage canal; rider dies

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A motorcycle rider died when his vehicle rammed a tree then fell into a drainage canal in San Manuel, Isabela on Sunday.

Police said June Revilla, a resident of Barangay Cabaruan, Quirino, died on the way to the Roxas District Hospital.

Revilla’s companion, 12-year-old John Mark Delfinado, was seriously injured and remains confined in the same hospital.

The accident reportedly occurred in Barangay Cabaritan at around 11 p.m.
