P.5 million cocaine seized from call center agents
MANILA, Philippines — At least P500,000 worth of cocaine was confiscated in separate operations in Makati and Pasay at past midnight yesterday.
Call center agent Robert Baltazar, 29, was arrested in a sting in Barangay Poblacion at around 12:30 a.m.
Six plastic sachets said to contain cocaine with a street value of P350,000 to P400,000; three sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P8,000; P2,000 marked money; drug paraphernalia; a firearm; seven bullets and a motorcycle were confiscated from him.
Another call center agent, Paolo Quisumbing, 25, was arrested along Roxas Boulevard in a separate operation.
Police seized P156,800 cocaine and P4,080 worth of shabu from Quisumbing.
The suspects face charges of violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
