Surfing instructor nabbed for drugs

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines — A surfing instructor was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Siargao, Surigao del Norte on Friday night.

Police said they recovered from Patrick Arjona, 29, of General Luna town, a plastic sachet containing shabu with an estimated street value of P10,000, a phone containing messages of the suspect’s alleged drug transactions and P1,000 cash.

Arjona was reportedly a major drug supplier in Siargao and a member of the Delgado drug group, according to Dindo Abellanosa, spokesman for the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Caraga Region.
