TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines – At least 3,000 kilos of chicken meat were confiscated at a quarantine checkpoint in Barangay Bio, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur on Thursday.

The chicken meat, which came from San Jacinto, Pangasinan, was in a refrigerated truck driven by Albert Quezon, 35.

Police invited Quezon and his helper Arnold Banderlipe, 22, for questioning.

Ilocos Sur Gov. Ryan Singson issued an executive order in August banning the entry of hogs, pork and processed meat from other provinces amid the African swine fever outbreak.
