4 dead in Pampanga road mishap

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines — Four persons were burned to death when their car fell into a canal and burst into flames along Roxas Highway here at about 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

The fatalities have yet to be identified as of yesterday.

The Mabalacat City police said the victims were in a white Hyundai Accent with conduction sticker KOF825, which reportedly entered the main gate of the freeport in Barangay Balibago.

Probers said the car was speeding.

The Clark Development Corp. said the maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour on Roxas Highway is frequently violated by motorists.
