26 hurt in Caraga road mishaps

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines — Twenty-six people were injured in separate vehicular accidents that occurred in this city and in Cagayan de Oro recently, authorities reported on Saturday.

Among those injured were 11 passengers of a jeep that collided with a truck in Cagayan de Oro City yesterday morning.

Reports said one of the jeep’s tires burst as it was traveling in Barangay Tablon.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the police station for questioning.

On Thursday, 15 persons were injured when their bus fell into a ravine in Barangay de Oro in this city.

The bus, owned by the Davao Metro Shuttle Bus, was headed for his city from Agusan del Sur when it figured in the accident.

Probers said the bus coud have developed engine trouble, causing the driver to lose control of the wheel.
