PLLO official figures in collision

MANILA, Philippines — An official of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) figured in a vehicular accident in Quezon City on Friday.

PLLO Undersecretary Bernardino Sayo, 61, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe when he hit a Mitsubishi Lancer.

A police report said the accident occurred in Barangay Doña Imelda at around 7:45 p.m. Sayo and the other driver, 20-year-old John Adrian Tomacruz, were not hurt.

An initial investigation revealed Sayo’s sport utility vehicle bumped the left side of the sedan while traveling along G. Araneta Avenue.

“Both parties denied culpability,” police said.

No cases have been filed as Sayo and Tomacruz opted for an amicable settlement.

The government official was on his way home when the accident took place.
