3 killed in gun attacks

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines  —  Two persons were killed in an ambush in Ampatuan town in this province on Wednesday.

Teduray chieftain Orlando Santos and his son Michael were riding a motorcycle when they were ambushed on their way home to Barangay Saniag.

Their  companion Kimboy Fernalino was wounded and remained confined at the Maguindanao Provincial Hospital yesterday.

In Pangasinan, Kenneth Barrozo, 29, was sleeping in his tricycle in Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City when he was shot several times by an unidentified man. He died at the scene.

Fisherman Rommel de Guzman was wounded in a shooting in Barangay Linoc, Binmaley, also in Pangasinan.

Investigations into the gun attacks are ongoing.
