LPA spotted off Surigao Sur
MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau yesterday monitored a low-pressure area 400 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Caraga and Davao would experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the weather system.
Ilocos, the Cordilleras, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to southwesterlies.
“Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be affected by partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains because of localized thunderstorms,” PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. advisory.
The agency said the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.
Costal waters in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate.
