P1.5-M shabu seized in Makati sting

MANILA, Philippines — Three men were arrested and P1.5 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu seized in a sting in Makati City on Friday, an official said yesterday.

 More than 100 sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, a .40 caliber Taurus pistol with nine bullets and a .45 caliber magazine were confiscated from Melvin Bulado, John Armand Revidad and Edgaro Sanchez Fontanilla, said city police chief Col. Rogelio Simon.

In Marikina City, house helpers Alvin dela Cruz and Maria Ramirez were arrested in a sting in Barangay Tumana yesterday.

In San Juan City, jeepney barkers Edgar Cerame and Sonny Boy Saquillo were arrested in an entrapment in Barangay Kabayan yesterday.

Case investigator Col. Damaso Burgos Jr. said Cerame and Saquillo allegedly sold illegal drugs to jeepney drivers in the city, particularly those plying F. Manalo street. 

In Manila, alleged pushers Rogelio Campus and John Ezekiel Sanita were caught in a drug bust in Barangay 775 in Manila before dawn Friday.  

Police confiscated seven grams of shabu with a street value of P48,000 and a .38 caliber revolver from the suspects. – Marc Jayson Cayabyab
