Pinay found dead in Jeddah hotel

MANILA, Philippines — A 52-year-old Filipina household service worker was found dead in a hotel room in Jeddah, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday.

In a report from the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, the DFA said the Filipina was reported missing before her body was discovered on Saturday.

Consul General Edgar Badajos said they would coordinate with local authorities to determine the cause of the death.

The DFA withheld the Filipina’s identity pending notification of her family.
