MRT-3 unloads 800 commuters
MANILA, Philippines — More than 800 commuters of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) were forced off a southbound train after it encountered a technical problem yesterday morning.
The MRT-3 said around 850 commuters were unloaded after one of the components of the train’s signaling system broke down upon reaching the Guadalupe station.
The affected train was removed from the tracks and brought back to the rail line’s depot in Quezon City for repairs.
The commuters were transferred to another train.
The MRT-3 said it deployed eight to nine trains yesterday morning.
