5 die as worker runs amuck in Tarlac

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga , Philippines  —   A poultry farm worker went on a hacking rampage in Barangay Sto. Rosario, Capas, Tarlac on Thursday, killing four persons and wounding three others before allegedly taking his own life.

Unesco Tee, 50, one of the owners of Northrich farm; Danmar Plasos, 13; Hilda Cagas, 19, and security guard Roel Rikrom died at the scene.

Victor Sta. Ana, a native of San Carlos, Negros Occidental, who was armed with a kitchen knife, suddenly attacked the victims for no apparent reason, Senior Superintendent Ritchie Posadas, Tarlac police chief, said.

Sta. Ana also reportedly stabbed himself. He died while being treated in a hospital.
