'Jolina' makes landfall over Aurora; 18 areas warned
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Jolina (international name Pakhar) made a landfall over Casiguran, Aurora on Friday night as warning signals are hoisted over 20 areas.
Jolina, packing winds of 80 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 95 kph, was moving west northwest at 17 kph at 7 p.m. before it fell on Casiguran at 8:15 p.m.
Its center was located at 65 kilometers south-southeast of the northern municipality, and is expected to move to 110 km west northwest of Sinait, Ilocos.
It will be in the vicinity of Laoag City by Sunday afternon, before moving outside the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday.

Tropical Storm Jolina is likely to spawn moderate to occasionally heavy rains over most parts of Luzon starting Friday night.
Sea travelers traversing the seaboard of Northern Luzon and eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon have also been warned against winds and dangerous waves.
