Catbalogan’s most wanted falls in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - The most wanted man in Catbalogan City, Samar has been arrested in Caloocan City and brought back to face trial, an official said yesterday.

Augusto Capili, 45, was charged with five counts of statutory rape for assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Barangay Bunu-anan, said Superintendent Edwin Barbosa, city police chief.

Acting on a tip, the Catbalogan police and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group caught Capili in Phase 4, Bagong Silang on Jan. 25.

Law enforcers brought him back to Catbalogan on Feb. 21.
