Dutch man nabbed for fake gun permit
MANILA, Philippines – Police arrested a Dutch man for possession of fake documents to carry firearms in Caloocan City on Tuesday morning.
Cornelis Kok, 67, was apprehended by members of the Caloocan police community precinct 2 at a bus terminal at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Rizal Avenue Extension.
Kok yielded a loaded .45-caliber Colt pistol, police said.
Authorities said Kok’s permit to carry firearms outside of residence was forged.
Police informed the Netherlands embassy of Kok’s arrest.
Charges of violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms were filed against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
