Another top Isabela drug suspect slain

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Another drug suspect in Isabela’s most wanted list was gunned down by unidentified men in San Pablo town on Sunday.?

Villagers found a bloodied Jayvee Malillin, alias Chuchu, in front of a rice mill in Barangay Calamagui at around 11:30 p.m., said Chief Inspector Alladin Revocal, San Pablo police chief.

Malilin, who was ranked fourth on the list of drug personalities in Isabela, died while being treated at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center.

Malillin was the third top drug suspect in Cagayan Valley killed by unidentified men this month after Jefferson Basa of Aurora, Isabela and Rodelyn Umoquit of  Buguey, Cagayan.

In Daet, Camarines Sur, seven persons were arrested and 28 sachets of suspected  shabu, drug paraphernalia and bullets for a 9mm pistol were seized in separate stings on Saturday.

Erick Ramos, Ellen Villaflores, Bernardo Azur, Rowell Llansa, Ernesto Grande, Allan Capistrano and Fidel Santiago were arrested based on the warrant issued by the Daet Regional Trial Court (RTC).

Meanwhile, John Joseph Olayres, 27, alias Juancho, the top drug personality in Guinobatan, Albay was arrested at his residence in Barangay San Rafael on Friday.

The arrest was based on a warrant issued by RTC Branch 3 Judge Frank Lobrigo. – Raymund Catindig, Celso Amo, Cet Dematera, Jun Elias
