Airport manager relieved
MANILA, Philippines - The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has relieved the manager of the Kalibo International Airport as it conducts an investigation into a terminal fee scam.
In an order issued on June 6, CAAP director William Hotchkiss III said Martin Tere would be replaced by acting area center manager Rafael Tatlonghari starting on June 16.
Eleven airport personnel were relieved last month for issuing used terminal fee tickets and collecting the payment. They were found to have pocketed P10 million.
