2 dead, 1 hurt in Isabela mishaps

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two persons died while another was injured in separate accidents involving motorcycles in the towns of Roxas and Echague, both in Isabela, on Friday.

Patrick Pasiases, 18, died at the scene while his companion Christopher Escanillian, 19, was taken to the hospital for treatment after their motorcycle rammed the steel railings along the highway in Barangay San Pedro, Roxas.

Meanwhile, Jireh Morales, 19, was declared dead on arrival at a hospital after a bus hit his motorcycle in Barangay Maligaya, Echague.

Case investigator Police Officer 1 Joel Trinidad said truck driver Rolando Gajisan reportedly tried to overtake another vehicle, causing him to hit Morales.

Gajisan was held at the municipal police detention jail.
