AGOO, La Union, Philippines – The reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the bomb attack on the convoy of La Union second district Rep. Eufranio Eriguel is now P1 million.

Eriguel told The STAR an additional P500,000 was raised by concerned citizens who want a speedy resolution of the attack that left his driver dead and three of his security escorts wounded.

Eriguel said investigators have traced the owner of the motorcycle where the bomb was planted, but the mastermind has yet to be identified.

Senior Superintendent Angelito Dumangeng, La Union police director, said Eriguel was the target of the bombing.

The explosion occurred 50 meters away from Eriguel’s house in Barangay Santa Barbara while the congressman was on his way to a campaign sortie on April. 30.
