Drowning victim recovered

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – The body of a man who drowned while trying to save his companion in Agno River in Alcala town was recovered in Bayambang on Sunday.

The body of Edmark Paul Malaso, 19, a resident of San Manuel, Tarlac, was found under the Wawa Bridge, Reuben Rivera, Alacala municipal disaster risk reduction and management officer, said in his report.

A search and rescue operation for the victim has been launched after a concerned citizen reported the drowning.
