
Bulacan dengue deaths soar
MALOLOS, Philippines – Another death was recorded due to dengue in Bulacan, bringing the number of fatalities to 19 and cases to 7,757.
Records from the epidemiology and surveillance unit of the provincial health office identified the latest victim as John Paul dela Rosa, 17, a resident of Barangay Santa Rosa 1 in Marilao town.
The highest number of cases was reported in San Jose del Monte City at 1,105. The other cities and municipalities reported cases ranging from 30 to over 500.
The number of dengue cases in Bulacan started to increase in July with 1,013 cases. It increased to 1,761 in August; 1,929 in September and 1,362 in October.
