Bulacan most business-friendly LGU

MALOLOS, Philippines  – The provincial government of Bulacan has been named the “most business-friendly” local government unit during the recent 41st Philippine Business Conference and Expo.

Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado received the award from Philippine Chamber of Commerce Inc. chairman Miguel Varela and PCCI president Alfredo Yao during a ceremony at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.

The ceremony was attended by President Aquino.

The PCCI said the province is fast becoming as a “new Mecca” of investments and “well-oiled” engines of growth in the country.

Provincial officials said the growth attained by Bulacan is a result of government programs aimed to erase the image of the Philippines as the “sick old man of Asia.”
