Families flee homes due to landslides

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines  – Several families here were forced to leave their homes due to the threat of landslides and flashfloods as heavy rains have been pounding this city for the past five days.

Cyrus Urbano, city disaster risk reduction and management action officer, said the city government implemented a forced evacuation in Barangay Assumption.

Urbano said they received reports that a landslide also occurred in some parts of Barangay Paraiso.
