Batanes trade center launched
BASCO, Batanes, Philippines – The provincial government recently inaugurated its trade center in Barangay Kayhuvokan in this town.
The launch included the signing of a pledge of commitment by members of the Batanes small and medium enterprise development council (SMEDC) and stakeholders.
The signatories committed to implement Republic Act 10644 or the Go Negosyo Act, particularly in the operation of the Batanes Negosyo Center.
Among the signatories were Gov. Vicente Gato, Basco Mayor Demetrius Paul Narag, SMEDC chairman Ramonito Imperial and provincial trade and industry director Marietta Salviejo.
Salviejo said the Negosyo Center would ease business transactions and services to small and medium enterprises.
“Aside from facilitating business registration, the center will assist small and medium enterprises in availing themselves of technology transfer, production and management training programs and marketing assistance,” she said.
