Magnitude 4.3 quake shakes Tagaytay City
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Sunday afternoon reported a magnitude 4.3 quake that jolted Tagaytay City.
The tremor recorded at 12:49 p.m. was traced 25 kilometers north west of Paluan, Occidental Mindoro.
In its advisory, Phivolcs said the quake with depth of focus of 28 kilometers was felt at intensity III in Tagaytay City.
There are two other moderate earthquakes recorded by Phivolcs on Sunday.
The first quake with magnitude 2.7 occurred at 12:28 a.m. in Tingloy, Batangas while the second tremor with magnitude 3.1 was recorded at 10:40 a.m. in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
All the quakes recorded on Sunday were found to be tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs said there are no aftershocks expected and no damages reported in the affected areas.
