Rice cake downs 3 children in Quezon

LUCENA CITY, Philippines  – Three siblings who are residents of Barangay Gulang-Gulang here were hospitalized after reportedly eating leche puto or custard-topped rice cake on Wednesday. 

Rodulfo Gansee Baron told police that his children – Randulp Alyster, 9; Ryzelle Ann, 4; and Rhen Baron, 1 – complained of stomach pains after eating the leche puto.  

Baron said the box of the leche puto did not indicate an expiration date.

Police are investigating the incident.
