Vendor shot dead in Pangasinan

ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines – A vendor was killed and his wife was wounded when unidentified gunmen waylaid them in Barangay Tanaytay here on Tuesday, a report to the Pangasinan police office said yesterday.

The report said Robert Ramos, 40, and his wife, Lelaine, 38, were riding a tricycle on their way home when the gunman suddenly appeared from an alley and shot them several times. Robert died at the scene.

Lelaine managed to run and seek help from their relatives. She sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of the body and was confined in a hospital.

Police are conducting an investigation.
