2 killed in Laguna brawl

LAGUNA, Philippines – Two laborers were killed while another was wounded following a quarrel in Biñan City here Monday night.

Crisanto de Vera and Roland Romero died at the scene due to stab wounds while Brian Morgan was taken to a hospital for treatment, Superintendent Noel Aliño, city police chief said.

Police arrested Rozaldo Barsoto, 42, and Ramonito Catindig, 50, in a followup operation in Carmona.

Aliño said De Vera’s group and the suspects were having a drinking spree at their sleeping quarters in Barangay Malamig when a quarrel broke out between them at around 8:45 p.m.
