Remulla patriarch dies at 81

MANILA, Philippines - Former Cavite governor Juanito “Johnny” Remulla died yesterday morning. He was 81.

A report on GMA News Online quoted Cavite Gov. Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla as saying that his father died at 8:15 a.m. due to multiple organ failure.

The Remulla patriarch was Cavite governor from 1979 to 1992.

One of the longest serving local officials of Cavite, Remulla was also a member of the provincial board before he was elected governor. He also served as acting governor in 1964 and 1965.
